Score every unsolicited submission on arrival. Sort by overall, filter by the dimension you care about this quarter, and hand your A&Rs a ranked shortlist instead of a folder. The roster average on the workspace library shows how the intake pipeline is trending.
A&R screening
Give scouts a consistent vocabulary. When two A&Rs disagree, the report separates 'the song is weak' from 'the mix is hiding the song' — which is the difference between passing and signing with a production budget attached.
Studio QC before delivery
Run the final master through streaming readiness before it goes to the distributor. Loudness, true-peak and intro-length problems get caught while the session is still open, not after the release date.
Client-facing reports
Studios hand clients an objective report alongside the invoice. It documents what changed between revision passes and turns 'trust me' into evidence.

Common questions
- Does Sonar replace A&R judgement?
- No. It replaces the first pass. Scoring gives every submission a consistent read on hook, mix, arrangement and streaming readiness so your team spends its listening time on the shortlist rather than the inbox.
- How does seat billing work?
- Seats are $15 per seat per month or $150 per seat per year, billed to the workspace. Adding a seat updates the subscription immediately with proration, and invoices are visible in the workspace billing panel.
- Who can see a report?
- A report is private to whoever ran it unless it is shared with a workspace. Shared reports appear in that workspace's library for every member; owners and admins control membership and roles.
- Can we run this from our own tools?
- Yes. Sonar exposes an MCP server, so an AI agent or internal tool can authenticate as a Sonar user and submit audio to the analyze_song tool programmatically.
